Marilyn Monroe (in memoriam)

1. June 1926 - 5.August 1962

Schlechte Nachrichten zuerst: 
Heute vor genau 53 Jahren starb Marilyn Monroe. 
Nun die guten Nachrichten: 
Hier - in meinem Blog  - LEBT sie noch! ;-)

Aus diesem Anlaß ein paar schnelle Portraitskizzen, 
Bleistift in Postkartengröße... 

Bad news first:
Today, 53 years ago Marilyn Monroe died. 
Now the good news:
Here - in my blog - she's still ALIVE! ;-)

Es war von Anfang an mein Ziel, ein Gesicht aus allen Blickwinkeln zeichnen zu können.

Auch völlig "schräges" wie der perspektivisch verkürzte Blick von unten oder von oben. 

Dies ist dann besonders verzwickt. Am einfachsten ist immer das Gesicht "von vorne" -

Als Steigerung geht es mir aber immer auch darum, die "Stimmung" eines Gesichtes zeichnerisch (malerisch) ausdrücken zu können. Es ist noch ein weiter Weg zu gehen (zu zeichnen). - Aber das "Zwischenergebnis" ist wohl garnicht so schlecht, denke ich? ;-)  

It always has been my goal to be able to draw a face from all views. 

Also "foreshortening" or the view from above or below. That's really tricky. 

Plus: I also want to capture the "mood" of a face with drawings (or paintings).

It's still a long way to go (to draw), but the interim result isn't that bad, I think...? ;-)
